Notice:
Many Vendors utilize specific warranties, subscription agreements, license agreements, EULA’s, etc. (“Supplemental Agreements”) when you purchase specific goods or services from that Vendor.  Since the Supplemental Agreements do not necessarily apply to every Member, every jurisdiction, or every purchase, TIPS does NOT now negotiate the terms of those agreements on Members’ behalf.  If you are required to sign such a supplementary agreement by the TIPS Vendor, TIPS strongly encourages Members not to proceed with a purchase until they have carefully reviewed and negotiated all applicable Supplemental Agreements.  TIPS recommends you work with your entity’s legal counsel to ensure compliance with the legal requirements of your entity and your jurisdiction.

SERVICE/PRODUCTS DESCRIPTION
NoRedInk Overview NoRedInk provides a comprehensive, adaptive, mastery-based writing curriculum for grades 5-12 that is aligned with many state standards including CCSS, TEKS, and others. Teachers and students access content through online accounts. There is no software to download, and NoRedInk can be accessed on any internet-connected laptop, Chromebook, iPad, or tablet. Using NoRedInk, teachers can give formative assessments to establish a baseline of skills for individual students and their class as a whole. The assessment data is integrated into assignment creation, allowing teachers to easily and effectively differentiate instruction. At the conclusion of a unit, teachers can give summative assessments that effectively measure student growth. In addition, teachers can easily filter the curriculum on NoRedInk to align their instruction with state and national standards, and the NWEA, SAT, or ACT exams. NoRedInk’s writing assignments allow students to build a portfolio of written work and engage in a highly scaffolded drafting, revision and peer review process. NoRedInk guides students through the process of drafting, reflecting, and revising across multiple genres. Students receive just-in-time support with interactive tutorials, models, lessons and self-reflection questions. These assignments provide teachers flexibility to assign daily practice as well as authentic assessments. Working on NoRedInk, students see questions that are tailored to their unique interests (e.g., their favorite celebrities, athletes, musicians, books, shows), dramatically increasing their engagement. The mastery-based assignments require students to demonstrate complete understanding of a skill before advancing. Each question that a student receives is determined by the answer given to the previous question. When students make mistakes, they are given immediate targeted feedback and remediation. NoRedInk’s writing platform supports teachers in weaving together the explicit instruction, repeated practice, and targeted feedback necessary to develop students into strong writers. Teachers can use NoRedInk’s activities to walk students through the entire writing process, from pre-writing to revision. Along the way, teachers can draw on customizable rubrics, interactive tutorials, and supplemental practice exercises to deepen students’ understanding of specific writing skills. Students build autonomy as they work through activities and reference examples and lessons on their own, and teachers can draw on NoRedInk’s data reports to identify those students who need more support, allowing them to focus their time on 1:1 conferencing and small-group intervention. Teachers can easily assess progress with NoRedInk’s built-in, auto-graded skill assessments, or they can leverage the site’s convenient feedback features to allow students to learn from their peers’ and teacher’s comments. For our district partners, NoRedInk provides a mix of in-person, virtual, and self-driven training options that cover all aspects of account set-up, assignment types, and student data. In addition, teachers and administrators have the ongoing support of a Customer Success Manager throughout the year to ensure a successful implementation. Administrators have access to teacher and student usage and performance data at varying levels of granularity: district, school, class, and individual.
