Intrado Life & Safety manufactures, installs, and maintains K12 safety software and hardware in the form of virtual panic buttons, as well as physical mobile panic buttons. The virtual panic button is available via the Safety Suite app, which also provides a variety of emergency management functions including (but not limited to) mass communication, connection to 9-1-1 operators, and parent-child reunification in one convenient mobile app. The physical panic button is approximately the size of a standard credit card and connects staff to administration to alert them of an emergency situation and get help right away. The physical panic button operates via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) with Wifi and LTE backup to ensure communication never fails. Leveraging Intrado’s position as the top provider of PSAP call-answering and data collection software, Safety Suite connects teachers and school administration to emergency first responders seamlessly – there is no third-party app or connection required.
