When we take on a new project, we approach it with a top-down perspective, analyzing the customer’s problems at a high level and then progressively drilling into what potential solutions would look like. We know that there is a wide variety of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software available that, in many cases, will do exactly what a customer needs. We happily recommend such software to our customers and will help them implement third-party solutions. Other times, we find that a third-party product will meet many of the customer’s requirements but will still require some manner of customization to address shortcomings in the product itself or, very commonly, to build a bridge between the COTS product and existing systems. In those instances, our deep understanding of software and systems enables us to not only identify and help implement an appropriate COTS product, but to provide technical consulting services to ensure the product functions as needed. We have put our expertise to further use by building off-the-shelf solutions. GeoBlazor is a Blazor .NET API that wraps the ArcGIS JavaScript API. It provides .NET developers a way to develop web GIS applications without having to use JavaScript.
